The Floating Liquefied Natural Gas (FLNG) technology marks a transformative advancement in the global energy sector, offering a flexible and cost-effective solution to access offshore natural gas reserves. Meanwhile, emerging economies in Africa and Latin America are exploring FLNG as a means to monetize offshore gas assets and boost export revenues. Governments and private players are increasingly collaborating to develop large-scale FLNG projects, such as Shell’s Prelude FLNG in Australia and Petronas’ PFLNG Satu and Dua in Malaysia, which serve as pioneering benchmarks for the industry.
